Love the place. Need to make is seniors friendly.

Great location. Amazing breakfast. Great service.

Room not conducive for seniors. Toom many sunken areas. Made it difficult to get to the bathroom or front door.

Excellent stay for holiday.

Very spacious with comfortable bed. Location is quiet but just 3 mins walk you reach the famous Jonker Street. Staff are extremely friendly.

Weeken getaway

The room is big. Location is next to Jonker street and opposite Melaka river. The malls like Dahtaran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade are about 15-20 minutes by car depending on the traffic. All the staffs are exceptional.

Splendid! The room was spacious, bed is comfortable. Room came with the coffee machine is the best! They even provided us with some snacks and bottled flavoured drinks! I can’t wait to come back

Great location. Good value.

Location to old town. Pool for hot afternoons. Shade can be hard to find. Food and drinks are close. Easy walking around. Helpful staff. Great to have river view and balcony.

Watch out for the uneven floors in the room. If can be noisy.

Great short stay

Excellent location on Melaka river and a short walk to Jonker Street. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The lunch buffet was not of a high standard. Swimming pool had no safety gear.

Great stay for family including teens.

Great hotel. Its relatively expensive but the rooms are large, comfortable, staff are equal to the best I have come across. location is right near all the sights,. Free parking if you want to hire a car. Walking distance to most attractions incl, at a pinch, large designer malls. Breakfast is very good with a large selection of alacart and buffet items included. Kids really enjoyed high speed wireless internet for streaming.

Not much to complain about. Roof top pool is shallow.

If you're staying in Melaka you need to stay at the Casa Del Rio, best location in the Old Town right on the river. Best Check In service I've ever experienced, lovely staff, awesome infinity pool, great massage.

Great but disappointment with bathroom

The room and view and toilet and breakfast were all great. The only big down point was the hot water in the shower (not bathroom) which did not work and we had to call technicians who took quite long to fix it, while I was almost in the middle of the shower. Not so much variety of buffet food, but what was there was really nice!

Beautiful house but not a very peaceful stay

Beautiful house and most lovely interior design. We had a double bed room with a daybed which the staff set up for our two kids to sleep in. Good light blocking curtains and comfy beds. The room had a luxurious bathroom, plenty of free water bottles, tea and so on. Breakfast was quite good and they politely warned anybody eating late when they were about to clean the food away. Check-in process was a breeze, sipping a cooling drink by the pool while the lady took our passports and brought them back shortly. Inner courtyard with it's poolside little sitting houses was very nice. There is a night market from few minutes walking distance - turn left, after leaving the hotel.

1) Went to one buffet dinner and it was shockingly bad. From such a luxurious hotel, I really expected high standards not dried out meat and empty food bowls. 2) The sleeping in the evening was almost impossible due to some kind of loud street music that was streaming in from across the river. By the sound of it it must've been from a karaoke bar, because I've never heard so many hours in a row so bad singing. We have small kids, we are used to with noise and turmoil, but this tinny music and horrible offkey singing went on every night until about 1AM and effectively stopped everybody from sleeping until then. Hotel had no solution. I understand it there may no be anything hotel can do about that, but as a client wishing to sleep in peace it was very annoying and unpleasant. 3) We stayed one extra night and the evening prior to check-out when we went to settle the bill, the hotel tried to charge us double. It took good 30 minutes to sort this mess out. The next morning when we were running for our taxi, they tried to charge us for the third time. When my husband told them that everything was paid already the day before and almost in double, they wanted him to wait until they track down some important manager who will deal with the problem, AGAIN. We had to tell them to sort it out on their own because we were running late with a ride to the airport and they were not happy with that. So, internal communication seems to be a problem. 4) Since mosquitos are a problem in Melaka, I didn't understant the need to have a small pool of water lining our balcony where mosquitos can happily breed in. And it's not like it had any flowers or plants growing in it - there were just long ago dried bushes and a lot of old festering water. 5) weak wifi

Great location of the hotel, very nice room and room service / complimentary items, very good variety at breakfast.

The service at the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was bad - not acceptable for a 5* hotel. There are much better options for good food and service in Melaka.

Good location and service! Perfect place for family visit!

Location is the best with beautiful view of the river and also garden of the hotel. Staff are very supportive. Clean room with big restroom.

Lovely place!

This hotel is very nicely decorated. Open air lobby, fresh flowers, beautiful and spacious rooms. I am very fond of this kind of decor, I don't know if it was inspired by Spain, Portugal, but it sure felt like it. The staff was very kind and helpful. There is big rooftop pool. It was my second time here, and it was never crowded. Always relaxing, and the views are very nice. The breakfast is great, many options and relaxing patio by the river. It is very close to the historical centre and the famous Jonker walk. All in all, it is a 5* hotel and even though it is a bit expensive, it is absolutely worth it!
